Microsoft plans to reveal the next version of Windows during an event in late June 2025.
Windows 10 support will end October 14th of 2025. Official Windows 10 support will end but Windows 10 will continue to work just fine. However, unless the security routine you're using continues to be supported after Windows 10 support ends, your system and your data will be at risk. Also, updated device drivers for Windows 10-based systems will become increasingly hard or impossible to come by. For example, if you buy a new printer, Windows 10 drivers may not be available for it.
Your PC may not be eligible for an upgrade to Windows 11. You'll have to do some investigation of your system to determine if it's worthy of the upgrade: On your PC, click once on the Start button and type in: system information and then press Enter. A few items down the list is Processor. Write down the processor value. It will be something like "Intel..." or "AMD...". You need that processor info to check eligibility. To see if your pre-Windows 11 system is eligible to run Windows 11, click here to download a routine that gives your system's status.
